Central Nicaragua surf travel guide

Central Nicaragua has slowly become a decent option for those looking to surf some quality waves without the intense crowds that have inundated the major spots down in Rivas Province. The trade-off is that the all day offshores for which Nicaragua is famous, are nowhere near as constant in this central zone, where afternoon onshores are a possibility. The positive points to surfing Central Nica are the crowds are much lighter and there are plenty of reefs, points and a rivermouth break that keep the scattered surf camp clients happy throughout the swell season.
